• What We Do

    We are all products of our childhood. Because of this it is important to promote a healthy environment for the children of Uganda which can only be accomplished when everyone involved in the child's life is willing to improve. This comes from hope - hope for a brighter future. It is the aim of Childlife Network International to instill and restore hope in as many little hearts as possible.

    Many adults have experienced abuse and are not equipped with alternative child rearing techniques. CNI works in and with the community, involving schools, health agencies, faith-based organizations and other groups to provide the necessary skills to help build secure and stable families.

    Programs such as the children's camp Project Relay Hope, the teacher's training Equip to Equip and the resource house Hope Center supply children and adults with resourses so they can become informed, responsible, hopeful and aspiring adults. CNI programs are carried out in a safe and healthy environment so that everyone can concentrate on learning.

    For children, we organize camps and classes where in a caring, fun-filled family atmosphere they can overcome the negative impact of their environment, build self-confidence and strength of character and aspire to a better future. For adults we offer seminars and workshops which include child development, financial literacy, budgeting, child rights and how to raise confident/strong children.

    Our program strategies are aimed to:

    * Build friendships and mutual support
    * Facilitate children's social, spiritual, psychological and emotional development
    * Strengthen parenting skills

    Use of the above strategies will build strong, responsible children who will go on to raise their own strong, responsible families. As the children grow confident, the families grow stronger and the country grows peaceful and productive.
